We aren’t interested in outdated hierarchies or needless bureaucracy. Deep down, everyone knows workplace prejudice should be challenged, but many are not confident or comfortable enough to do that without fear of retribution. ChewingRice is a diverse collective of observers, innovators, and creatives, and we have seen that opportunities for change can come from anywhere, anyone, at any time. We work with industry specialists and new thinkers, who leapfrog conventional ideas to carve their paths. Times are changing, and with a flexible work structure and a four-day workweek, we are pushing against outdated ideas that productivity must be aligned with an industrialised clock-in/clock-out framework. The result of this structure speaks for itself, and the ChewingRice team works in a space that is both productive and comfortable, allowing room to build passion and drive us to deliver the best work for our clients. 

This relinquishing of formal structures allows us to hire based on someone’s capabilities and perspectives, not their location. Nairobi, London, Barcelona; it doesn’t matter. Everyone has something to bring to the table, and by flattening hierarchical systems, we are working to establish it as a norm for the next generation.
